Since September 2024, I have been working as office manager of the parliamentary group of Volt Darmstadt, where we apply European perspectives and best practices to local projects, and aim to modernise and digitise educational and administrative structures.
Until April 2024, I was a researcher at the Linguistics Department at the University of Potsdam, and was involved in the project “Consequences of head argument order for syntax” (CHAOS), which is part of the Collaborative Research Centre 1287 “Limits of Variability in Language” at the University of Potsdam. The project is interested in the cross-linguistic relationship between the basic order of verb and object (VO vs. OV languages) and other syntactic properties which might be related to this, such as scrambling, verb clusters, superiority, subject height, and many more. My own research within the project focused on Czech and other Slavic languages. Especially during my PhD, I was also interested in the placement of second-position clitics in Slavic.
